About the Role
This is a hands-on Network Automation Engineer position focused on designing, building, and optimising automated network environments across cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
You will work closely with platform, DevOps, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly automated network solutions, particularly within air-gapped and highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network automation for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring
- Automate network deployments across cloud environments, including air-gapped environments
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for network infrastructure
- Manage and optimise networking within GCP environments
- Design and support hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures
- Embed security controls into automated workflows
- Support Zero Trust architecture and network segmentation initiatives
- Automate security compliance and validation processes
- Improve network reliability, observability, and incident response
- Reduce manual operations through scalable automation frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering teams on integrated solutions
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Network Engineering and Automation
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking (GCP preferred)
- Proven experience building Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, etc.)
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tooling
- Strong understanding of network security principles (Zero Trust, segmentation)
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments (highly regarded)
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident management practices
- Strong scripting/automation capability (e.g. Python, Bash)
